Overview: Within the Tuscan-themed Siena community, this western Las Vegas Valley course offers 18 public holes, set within the Tuscan-themed Siena community. Schmidt-Curley designed the par-72 routing with a mixture of doglegs and straight holes, narrow and generous fairways, grassy bailout areas and varied green complexes. The championship tees stretch to 6,816 yards, while the surrounding mountains, Lake Siena and distant Strip views give the course a strong sense of visual location.
History: Siena opened on June 1, 2000 as part of the Summerlin-area development. The course was designed by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley, whose work uses the desert setting without reducing every hole to a forced carry. A Tuscan-style clubhouse and the long public operating history have helped Siena become one of the recognizable golf destinations along the western rim of Las Vegas.
Did You Know? Siena's scorecard lists 97 white-sand bunkers. That number helps explain the course's emphasis on approach planning: even when a fairway is generous, the next shot can be shaped by a bunker complex that changes the safest side of the green.
