Overview: Siam Country Club Rolling Hills is an 18-hole, par-72 course on the Pattaya side of Chonburi, designed by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley. The routing uses rolling ground, broad landing areas, deep bunkering and two large ponds to create a modern resort test that is generous from the tee but exacting near the greens. The selected course reference is 7,259 yards, broadly consistent with the official description of a layout just over 7,200 yards. Its strongest holes ask players to decide how much of the fairway to use and which angle will leave the best route to a contoured putting surface.
History: Rolling Hills opened in 2020 as the third Siam Country Club course in the Pattaya group. Schmidt-Curley’s design was intended to feel more approachable than a purely championship-style layout, with width and visibility helping players find a starting line. That accessibility does not remove strategy: the ponds, mounding and green-side hazards become increasingly influential as the round progresses. The directory’s Left label is preserved here only to match the existing course row; current official material treats the golf course as Rolling Hills rather than as two separate 18-hole courses.
Did You Know? The 15th is known as the “Wall of Death,” a name that reflects the prominent wall-like hazard feature guarding the hole. The closing stretch is also presented by the club as a “Dream Sequence,” with the 16th through 18th forming a deliberate finish rather than three unrelated holes. Those names reveal how much of Rolling Hills’ identity comes from visual course architecture and the sequence of decisions, not only from its scorecard length.
