Overview: Shooting Star is a mountain course in Teton Village, Wyoming, with Tom Fazio's routing moving through open meadows, native vegetation and the foothills of the Teton Range. Creeks, ponds and changing mountain views create a varied round while the surrounding ranch landscape keeps the course connected to Jackson Hole.
History: The private club grew from a threatened ranching operation and a plan to preserve open land in the valley. Tom Fazio designed the eighteen-hole course, which opened in 2009 as part of the Shooting Star community.
Did You Know? Shooting Star's property includes a Class 1 trout stream and more than a thousand acres of open space. Those natural assets are part of the club's development story, not just background scenery.
