Overview: Sherwood Hills Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole private course in Trece Martires, Cavite, designed by Jack Nicklaus with Jack Nicklaus II. The routing uses broad fairways, valleys, bunkers and ponds on a mostly open site, allowing wind and the placement of hazards to determine the best line. Course references list par 72 and 7,265 yards from the longer tees.
History: Sherwood Hills opened for play in 1998 and formed part of the wave of Nicklaus-designed championship developments around Manila. The club's current identity is proprietary and member-led, while the course itself was built to support tournament-level play and a challenging range of tee positions.
Did You Know? Sherwood Hills is credited by Nicklaus Design to both Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II, rather than to Jack Nicklaus alone. That shared design credit is useful when distinguishing this course from other Nicklaus layouts in the Philippines, including Manila Southwoods Masters.
