Overview: The 10-27 combination at Shepherd’s Hollow joins two of the 27 holes in Clarkston, Michigan, where Arthur Hills’ routing follows ridges, valleys and mature woodland. The public course feels secluded despite its Detroit-area location, and elevation changes influence nearly every club choice.
History: Shepherd’s Hollow was developed on 350 acres leased from the Colombiere Center, a former retreat landscape with hardwoods and pines. Arthur Hills shaped the 27-hole facility around the site’s natural contours, and the 10-27 label identifies a particular 18-hole rotation.
Did You Know? The property’s woodland includes four distinct varieties of oak, a detail noted in the club’s description of the site.
