Overview: The Ozaki Course uses the rugged ground around Mission Hills Shenzhen to create a 7,024-yard, par-72 round. Elevated tees, broad fairways, large lakes and natural slopes alternate through long valley corridors, with strategic bunkering controlling the best landing zones. The layout can look generous from the tee, but its height changes and long approaches mean that club selection is rarely a simple matter of distance alone.
History: Jumbo Ozaki's course is one of the six Shenzhen routings at Mission Hills. The club presents it as a designer-led course built around the Japanese star's strong sense of movement through terrain, and it remains part of the resort's active golf programme. The published course material does not give a dependable opening year for Ozaki.
Did You Know? Mission Hills notes that nine holes are available for night golf, a rare detail that belongs to the course's identity rather than just its facilities. The routing also has an unusual transition between the twelfth green and thirteenth tee, where players pass through an 85-metre tunnel.
