Overview: Shaker Run’s Woodlands/Lakeside combination is part of a 27-hole public facility near Lebanon, Ohio. Arthur Hills designed the original 18 holes with rolling countryside, bentgrass playing surfaces, water and sculpted bunkers.
History: The Woodlands and Lakeside nines opened in 1979 as the original 18-hole course. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry later designed the Meadows nine, opened in 1999, giving Shaker Run its current 27-hole structure.
Did You Know? Water comes into play on 14 of Shaker Run’s 27 holes. The number helps explain why the course’s visual identity is as much about lakes and ponds as it is about the rolling Ohio terrain.
