Overview: Shadow Wood South is the longer of the two original Shadow Wood Country Club routings, playing to par 72 and 7,190 yards from the back tees. It moves through the private Estero-area community with fairway corridors, lakes, wooded areas and the broad, quiet scale associated with Southwest Florida parkland golf.
History: The South Course shares the club's Bob Cupp design heritage and has been maintained within the wider Shadow Wood improvement program. Rees Jones and Bryce Swanson are credited with significant renovation work at the club, while available official material does not give a single dependable opening year for the South routing itself.
Did You Know? The South routing is part of a 54-hole Shadow Wood golf program that also includes the North Course and Shadow Wood Preserve. Three distinct courses occupy one connected landscape, allowing different routings and playing demands to coexist within the same wooded Southwest Florida setting.
