Overview: Sensei Porcupine Creek is an exclusive desert resort course in Rancho Mirage, set against the San Jacinto Mountains. History: The original Porcupine Creek course opened in 2004, with the design team combining Weiskopf’s architecture and the playing perspectives of Sörenstam and Stockton. Sensei reopened the property as a wellness resort in November 2022, giving the course a new operating chapter while retaining its earlier golf identity.
Did You Know? Porcupine Creek’s name comes from the original private-estate setting rather than a generic desert resort label. The property’s architecture uses the mountain edge, exposed desert and shaped golf ground together, so the surrounding landscape is part of the design story.
