Overview: Senibong Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course in Gelang Patah, Johor Bahru, set on 120 acres of former palm-oil plantation. The club's current pages list a 5,990-yard course with elevated tees, subtle slopes, undulating ground and newly renovated Bermuda Tifdwarf greens. The first nine offers broad driving areas followed by uneven approach contours, while the second nine tightens around palm trees, sand bunkers, troughs and additional water. Creeks crossing fairways twice create several documented risk-and-reward choices.
History: The property began as Poresia Golf Club in 1990 with a Pete Dye design made up of four interchangeable nine-hole loops. After Walker Corporation acquired the property in 2018, the course underwent extensive reconfiguration and refurbishment to create the current 18-hole experience. It was renamed Senibong Golf Club in 2020. The profile therefore leaves year_opened blank for the present routing rather than treating the original 1990 36-hole facility as an unchanged course.
Did You Know? Senibong's most interesting hazard sequence comes from the way creeks cross some fairways twice. The club describes the second nine as more undulating, with palm-oil trees, deep troughs and extra water hazards, so the best line may change between the first and second shots. Elevated tee boxes add another perspective, looking down over long downhill sections and the surrounding former plantation landscape.
