Overview: Seminole Legacy is Florida State University's 18-hole university course in Tallahassee. The current routing stretches to 7,800 yards and plays to par 72, with elevation changes, mature live oaks and pines, and the more deliberate angles associated with the Nicklaus Design renovation. Membership provides the normal route to play, while the course also serves the university's golf programs.
History: The property began as Don Veller Seminole Golf Course, designed by Bill Amick, with the original layout dating to 1962. Nicklaus Design led a major project that opened the current Legacy course in March 2020, reworking 17 of the 18 holes while retaining important original corridors. The club is now home to both the FSU men's and women's teams.
Did You Know? The current course includes a separate 12-hole par-3 facility for the university's golf teams. That short-course addition is part of the same broader project that introduced the Seminole Legacy name and helped turn the site into a full collegiate practice and competition base.
