Overview: Sedin Golf Resort is an 18-hole course beside the Little Danube near Veľké Úľany, surrounded by riparian forest and a landscape that alternates between wooded ground and partly links-style corridors. Michael Terech designed the layout to offer three different golf environments within one round. Water surfaces accompany several holes, while broad fairways and generous greens give the routing a fair visual rhythm from the tee. The official club information lists par 73 and approximately 6,492 metres, equivalent to about 7,100 yards, matching the directory record. Sedin is not defined by one isolated feature: its character comes from the movement between forest, open ground, water and the river landscape.
History: Sedin was formally introduced as a new Slovak golf destination at an opening ceremony in April 2017. The resort was developed close to Veľké Úľany, about 60 kilometres from Bratislava, with the Little Danube and its floodplain forests providing the setting for the course. The opening event presented the full 18-hole routing together with practice areas and an academy intended to bring more players into the sport. Since then, the resort has expanded its golf identity with tournament activity, a restaurant and on-site accommodation, while the original course concept remains a three-part landscape within one eighteen-hole round.
Did You Know? Sedin’s official club page says the resort once counted 56 swans on one lake and uses as many as 120 rakes to maintain its bunkers. The grey colour used for buildings and course equipment is tied to the white poplar trees growing on the property. The club says these trees can reach about 35 metres in height and live for 300 to 400 years, making the planting part of Sedin’s identity rather than decoration.
