Overview: Located in Greensboro, the Ross Course at Sedgefield Country Club is a historic private course designed by Donald Ross. Winding through rolling, tree-lined hills, the parkland layout features Ross's signature undulating greens, strategic bunkering, and contoured fairways. The routing is designed to reward accurate driving and precise iron play under competitive conditions.
History: Opened in 1926, the Ross Course was designed to serve as the centerpiece of the Sedgefield resort community. In 2007, architect Kris Spence led a major restoration of the course, expanding the greens back to their original Ross dimensions and reinstating the classic strategic bunkering. The club has hosted the PGA Tour's Wyndham Championship.
Did You Know? The Ross Course is one of the few Donald Ross designs that regularly hosts a PGA Tour event, providing modern professionals with a classic test of Golden Age architecture.
