Overview: Sebonack is a private Southampton links course designed through a collaboration between Jack Nicklaus and Tom Doak. The routing uses broad, wind-exposed playing corridors, natural coastal ground and irregular hazards on a large property beside the Peconic Bay landscape.
History: The course opened in 2006 on roughly 300 acres in Southampton. Its design team combined Nicklaus's strategic experience with Doak's preference for natural movement, producing a modern course whose identity is closely tied to the surrounding Long Island shore.
Did You Know? Sebonack sits near both National Golf Links of America and Shinnecock Hills. The neighboring courses are separate clubs, but together they make the Southampton area an unusually dense concentration of influential links architecture.
