Overview: Seascape Golf Club is a charming coastal layout located in the seaside community of Aptos, California. Originally opened in 1926 as the exclusive Rio Del Mar Country Club, the course was designed by the father-son team of Garret and David Gill. The layout is characterized by its hilly terrain, mature stands of eucalyptus and Monterey pine, and a series of technical, technical holes that require careful positioning off the tee. While not long by modern standards, the course’s narrow corridors and deceptive green complexes provide a fun and engaging test of golf that captures the historic spirit of the Monterey Bay coastline.
Did You Know? During World War II, the Seascape property was repurposed as a massive "victory garden" to support the war effort. The golf course was eventually restored and reopened in 1945, and it has since become one of the most beloved and accessible public venues on the Central Coast, known for its friendly atmosphere and spectacular ocean glimpses.
