Overview: Harbour Town Golf Links at Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island is one of the classic strategic courses in the world. Designed by Pete Dye with assistance from Jack Nicklaus, The course is a "shotmaker's" masterpiece characterized by its tight, tree-lined fairways, exceptionally small greens, and the lighthouse-backdrop 18th hole. It offers a refined and rigorous test of golf that rewards precision and creativity over raw power.
History: Opened in 1969, Harbour Town was a distinct design that eschewed the trend toward massive courses, focusing instead on strategic nuance and environmental integration. It has been the permanent host of the PGA Tour's RBC Heritage since its inception, making it one of the most recognizable stops on the tour. The course was meticulously renovated in 2015 to modernize the strategic elements while preserving its classic feel.
Did You Know? The signature 18th hole, which plays directly along the Calibogue Sound toward the red-and-white striped Hilton Head Lighthouse, is one of the most photographed finishing holes in the game.
