Overview: Situated on the Great Belt coast in Nyborg, Denmark, Sct. Knuds Golfklub is an 18-hole parkland course designed by Frederik Dreyer and refined by Cotton and Pennink. The layout plays over flat to gently undulating terrain bordered by ancient forests and open coastline, featuring narrow fairways and small putting complexes. Exposed to strong sea winds, the course requires precise ball-striking and low ball-flight control.
History: Founded in 1954, Sct. Knuds was built on a historic parcel of royal parkland. The course has meticulously maintained its classic design, serving as a peaceful, highly strategic sanctuary. The venue has hosted several major national championships and remains a classic model of Danish golf architecture.
Did You Know? Several holes run directly alongside the coastline, offering views of the Great Belt Bridge. This suspension bridge is one of the longest in the world, providing a modern engineering backdrop that contrasts with the historic woodlands.
