Overview: Sapporo Golf Club Yuni Course is a full-scale parkland layout in Yuni, east of Sapporo. The course is listed at 7,031 yards and par 72, with broad playing corridors set against Hokkaido's open agricultural and wooded landscape. It is not simply an easier companion to Wattsu: the official profile calls attention to 99 bunkers and fast greens, so the main challenge comes from choosing the correct line and controlling the approach rather than relying on length alone.
History: Yuni opened in 1974, with the club's formal opening following in 1975, and was designed by Seiichi Inoue. That makes it a later Sapporo Golf Club project than Wattsu, although both layouts share the same architect. The two courses have separate identities: Wattsu carries the older tournament tradition, while Yuni is presented through its own green speed, bunker placement and changing hole strategy.
Did You Know? The directory's A and B labels are alternate records for one current Yuni 18-hole course, not two separate courses. The official club presents Yuni as a single routing. That reconciliation prevents the same facility from being described twice and lets the profile focus on the real point of difference: a large bunker inventory and putting surfaces that demand attention even when a fairway looks generous.
