Overview: Located in the tranquil Ribatejo region about 40 minutes east of Lisbon, Santo Estêvão Golfe is a premier inland course designed by Donald Steel. The layout is set in more than 70 hectares of gently rolling countryside characterized by ancient cork oaks and numerous water hazards. The course is known for its wide, inviting fairways and its accessibility for all handicap levels, providing a peaceful and scenic round that emphasizes the natural character of the Portuguese interior over heavy bunkering or artificial structures.
Did You Know? Despite its generous fairways, the course has several technical teeth, including the par-4 3rd hole which requires a daunting tee shot over a large lake. The location is famous for its wildlife, and golfers often share the landscape with local bird species and the occasional rabbit, making it one of the most serene and ecologically integrated courses within an hour's drive of the capital.
