Overview: Santa Ana's 18-hole parkland routing sits in a mature Orange County landscape, with placement, clean angles and controlled approaches more important than dramatic elevation.
History: The club history begins with the Santiago nine holes in 1901, followed by the Orange County Country Club in 1914 and the Santa Ana Country Club name in 1923. William P. Bell and Son worked on the course in 1951. A full reroute in 2016 and later Jackson Kahn work in 2021 and 2023 are part of its modern history.
Did You Know? Santa Ana's present course is the result of several distinct layouts occupying the same club history, not simply a single 1923 design. That layered past explains why the club can retain early twentieth-century roots while presenting a modern routing at 20382 Newport Boulevard.
