Overview: Oaks/Lakes is an 18-hole combination at Sandpiper's private Sun City Center property. It plays to par 72 and a 6,412-yard maximum, combining the Oaks and Lakes nines through Florida parkland and water features.
History: Sandpiper's first 18 holes opened in 1968 and were designed by Mark Mahannah; Ron Garl added the third Lakes nine in 1985. The 27-hole facility now offers three named 18-hole combinations.
Did You Know? The Oaks/Lakes route pairs the facility's long, tree-framed Oaks nine with the water-defined Lakes nine, so its character changes between the two halves.
