Overview: Located in Sandnes, Norway, near Stavanger, Sandnes Golfklubb is a highly scenic 18-hole woodland and parkland course. Winding through dense pine forests and open, rolling agricultural fields, the course features wide fairways bordered by deep natural ravines, extensive water hazards, and large, subtly contoured greens. The course demands accurate ball placement off the tee to navigate the mature trees and strategic distance control.
History: The club was established in the late 1990s to bring high-quality competitive golf to the Rogaland region. The layout was carefully integrated into the existing landscape, minimizing earth movement to preserve the historic agricultural fields and providing a high-quality, accessible venue for the local community.
Did You Know? The course is built on a highly stable, well-draining sandy subsoil that ensures excellent natural drainage, allowing the fairways to remain firm and playable, providing a high-quality, links-like firmness despite the dense surrounding forest canopy.
