Overview: Located in San Martín, Buenos Aires, San Andres Golf Club is the oldest golf institution in Argentina. The traditional parkland layout is defined by mature, century-old trees that line tight fairways and form natural corridors. The flat terrain is defended by small, well-bunkered greens and strategically placed water hazards, emphasizing shot shaping, accuracy, and course management over distance off the tee.
History: The club was founded in 1892 by British railway workers and relocated to its current site in 1907. Scottish professional Mungo Park designed the new course, incorporating classic elements from British inland layouts. San Andres has played a central role in Argentine golf history, hosting the national open tournament more than twenty times, and is named in honor of St Andrews.
Did You Know? The club's founder, Alistair Henderson, won the first Argentine Open held at San Andres in 1905. The club preserves its British heritage through its traditional clubhouse and historical archives.
