Overview: Samoset Resort's coastal course runs through seaside woods and gardens near Rockport, Maine. The 6,548-yard resort layout uses contoured greens, bunkers, and an extended seawall, with the Atlantic visible from many holes and the shoreline shaping the final feel of the round.
History: Samoset began as a nine-hole course in 1902, was rebuilt as an 18-hole course by Robert Elder in 1974, and received further work from Geoffrey Cornish in the early 1990s. Bradley Booth later rebuilt several holes and the practice area in 2000.
Did You Know? Samoset has served as a qualifying venue for the former Nike Tour.
