Overview: The Grand Parcours at Golf de Saint-Germain is an 18-hole Harry Colt design in the forest west of Paris. The course alternates between tree-lined fairways and more open heathland-style ground, with raised bunkers and broad, subtly contoured greens shaping the strategy. Its sandy soil drains naturally, helping the layout retain the firm, precise character associated with Colt's work.
History: Georges Durand brought Harry Colt to oversee the design in the early 1920s, and the official opening took place on 15 January 1922. The club's current presentation still identifies the Grand Parcours as a 1922 Colt design. The property also includes the shorter nine-hole Genêts course, which serves a different purpose from the championship routing.
Did You Know? Saint-Germain's two courses sit on a 74-hectare site in the forest that gives the club its name. The combination of a full-length Colt course and a separate nine-hole course allows the property to preserve a classic championship test while also offering a shorter practice-oriented routing.
