Overview: Sahara Golf & Country Club is a lush 18-hole championship grass course positioned as a green oasis in the heart of Kuwait City. Designed by Peter Harradine and built to PGA standards, the layout is unique for its integration with the national Equestrian Club; 12 of its holes are situated entirely within the perimeter of the horse racing track. The course features 5,000 trees and three man-made lakes, creating a sheltered parkland environment that provides a cooling escape from the surrounding desert plains.
Did You Know? Sahara was one of the first courses in the region to offer floodlit holes specifically designed to allow golfers to play during the cooler evening hours. Playing through the interior of a racing track provides one of the most distinctive atmospheres in golf, where the sight of training horses and the urban skyline combine with the scent of pine and eucalyptus to create a truly unique Middle Eastern golfing experience.
