Overview: Sahalee Country Club's South and North nines form a private woodland course in the Seattle area. Ted Robinson's original routing is framed by towering native trees, while the narrow corridors and filtered light create a setting unlike open Washington links.
History: The property was assembled in the late 1960s and the 27-hole course opened on August 9, 1969. Rees Jones restored the North and South nines in 1996 and later worked on the East nine, leaving the South/North combination as the club's championship course.
Did You Know? Sahalee means 'high heavenly ground' in Chinookan. The name fits the elevated, tree-covered setting and is part of the club's regional identity rather than a marketing label added later.
