Overview: Located near Helsingborg, Sweden, Rya Golfklubb is a classic 18-hole coastal parkland and links course originally designed by Gösta Crafoord. The routing is incredibly diverse, transitioning from open, wind-swept seaside holes along the Öresund strait to tight, tree-lined corridors winding through steep, forested hillsides. The course demands extreme strategic versatility, requiring players to control their trajectory on the coastal plain and hit precise, elevated approach shots in the forest.
History: Founded in 1934, Rya is one of the historic pioneer clubs of southern Sweden. The layout has been respectfully modernized over the decades to update the bunkering while preserving the original dramatic topography. The club has maintained its reputation as a rigorous and traditional championship test, hosting numerous regional amateur events.
Did You Know? Several holes on the front nine are routed directly along the shoreline of the Öresund strait, offering spectacular, unobstructed views across the water to the neighboring coast of Denmark.
