Overview: Located in Ry, Denmark, in the heart of the scenic Lake District, Ry Golfklub is an 18-hole parkland course designed by Poul Erik Hingebjerg. The layout winds through a gently rolling landscape bordered by mature pine forests and natural wetlands, featuring wide fairways, strategic sand hazards, and beautifully contoured greens. The course offers a highly playable and strategic experience, requiring players to navigate rolling hills and numerous water hazards.
History: Opened in the early 2000s, the course was built to establish a premier competitive venue in central Jutland. Hingebjerg carefully routed the holes to fit organically into the undulating hillsides, minimizing artificial land alteration and preserving the natural water run-offs and local flora.
Did You Know? The course is built in a region famous for its pristine natural lakes. Players can enjoy spectacular, panoramic views of the adjacent Knudsø lake and the surrounding forest canopy from several elevated tee boxes on the back nine.
