Overview: Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links is a public coastal course in Berlin, Maryland, shaped by Pete Dye and P.B. Dye. The routing follows the Sinepuxent Bay landscape, combining open seaside ground, wetlands and shoreline views with the Dyes' strategic bunker work.
History: The Ruark family developed Rum Pointe in the 1990s and hired Pete and P.B. Dye to create the course while preserving the property's natural and historic features. The 18-hole layout opened in spring 1997.
Did You Know? Archaeological studies on the property identified remains from seven Native American cultures. A pre-Revolutionary War brick house still stands beside the sixth fairway, adding a layer of history unrelated to the golf construction itself.
