Overview: Royale Jakarta Golf Club's West Course is a nine-hole, par-36 loop in East Jakarta and one of three circuits at the club's 27-hole parkland facility. Robert Moore Jr. and the JMP Golf Design Group shaped the complex around broad playing corridors, planted vegetation and water features, with Sea Isle Supreme Paspalum used across the playing surfaces. The West scorecard measures 3,318 yards from the black tees. Its nine holes include two par fives, three par threes and four par fours, making the loop a complete standalone round while also allowing it to form the West-North or South-West 18-hole combinations.
History: Royale Jakarta was established in 2008 beside Halim Perdanakusuma in East Jakarta. The club developed three nine-hole loops, North, South and West, rather than a single fixed 18-hole routing. That structure became useful for tournament golf, with the South-West combination used for the Indonesian Masters and other professional events. The club's official history records Indonesian Masters editions from 2011 onward, while the West loop has also served as the opening nine in the West-North tournament combination. This is why ranking and scorecard sources can show different 18-hole yardages while still referring to the same 27-hole facility.
Did You Know? Royale Jakarta was among the early Asian adopters of Sea Isle Supreme Paspalum, a turf variety planted across the tee boxes, rough and greens. The West loop also begins and ends with par fives, and its closing hole is the longest on the nine at 494 yards from the black tees.
