Overview: The Old Course at Royal Golf Marrakech is an 18-hole, par-72 parkland layout with a 5,871-metre length. It is known for its mature botanical setting, broad garden atmosphere and the Atlas Mountains beyond Marrakech. The original routing was shaped by Gustave Golias and Arnaud Massy and remains the historic core of the Royal Golf Marrakech property.
History: The course began in 1927 with four holes played by the Pacha of Marrakech. By 1928, the routing had reached nine holes under Golias, who then drew the second nine; a 1933 remodeling by Golias and Massy restored and refined the layout. The club later added a separate 9-hole New Course, but that is not part of this Old Course profile.
Did You Know? The par-3 third and ninth holes are affectionately called “Brigitte Bardot.” The Royal Golf Marrakech says the name was given by King Hassan II, adding a distinctive piece of local cultural history to the scorecard.
