Overview: Royal Links is a public links-style course in Las Vegas that borrows the visual language of British seaside golf while remaining firmly in the Nevada desert. Pete and Perry Dye used large bunkers, open corridors and bold green shapes to create a course that rewards thoughtful lines as much as length.
History: The course opened in January 1999 as a Dye Designs International project. Its concept was to bring a collection of British Open-inspired hole ideas to Las Vegas, creating a themed but fully playable eighteen-hole course rather than a replica of one single venue.
Did You Know? Individual holes draw inspiration from famous British Open courses, including the Road Hole and Hell Bunker concepts. The references are part of the course’s architecture and naming, while the dry climate and desert vegetation make the setting unmistakably Las Vegas.
