Overview: Royal Golf Club King is the original 18-hole routing at the Royal Golf complex in Ninh Binh. It opened on 9 January 2010 and was designed and built under the direction of P&Z Development PTE and Golf Corp. The course surrounds Yen Thang Lake and uses the area's natural limestone formations, mature trees and rolling ground to create a parkland layout with a distinctly karst landscape. Fairways can look open from elevated tees, yet water, rock and carefully placed sand influence the safe route to the green. The visual language is ancient stone and lake country, while the golf is built around choosing the correct angle before the approach.
History: King was the first course of its type in Ninh Binh and helped establish the province as a destination where golf could be combined with the region's cultural and natural attractions. The development later expanded with the Queen Course, but King remains a separate course-level identity with its own 2010 opening milestone. Public records describe the wider Royal estate and later expansion in different ways, so the profile keeps the historical facts tied specifically to the King routing and does not borrow uncertain statistics from the newer course.
Did You Know? The official introduction says King covers more than 100 hectares around Yen Thang Lake. That scale is important to the way the course feels: the water, limestone outcrops and tree-covered ground are distributed across a broad landscape rather than concentrated into one short scenic stretch.
