Overview: Ropice Golf Resort is a premier 27-hole facility located in the Moravian-Silesian region, offering spectacular views of the Beskydy Mountains. The Ocelová and Werková combination represents the resort's original championship 18-hole track, designed by Austrian architect Hans-Georg Erhardt and opened in 2004. It is a challenging, links-style layout characterized by undulating fairways, numerous bunkers, and complex green systems that test the tactical skill of any golfer.
History: Regularly ranked among the top 10 courses in the Czech Republic, Ropice was developed to bring tour-standard golf to the industrial heartland of Moravia. The original 18-hole course was so successful that the resort added the third 9-hole loop (Ocelová) in 2023 to expand its capacity. It is a frequent host for the Czech Golf Federation championships and is known for its high-fidelity conditioning and sophisticated modern design.
Did You Know? The resort's name and its loops (Ocelová/Steel and Werková/Work) are a tribute to the region's rich steel-making heritage, and the course record is frequently challenged during major national tournaments? Ropice's blend of dramatic mountain topography and river-influenced hazards creates a visually arresting and strategically deep round that highlights the best of modern Czech golf architecture.
