Overview: River Run Golf Links is the City of Bradenton's public 18-hole municipal course with a par of 70 and 6,293 yards from the blue tees. Ward Northrup's original layout and later Azinger and Gordie Lewis work use parkland corridors, water and strategic green-side trouble beside the Braden River area.
History: The course opened in 1987 and underwent a major renovation of greens and tees in 2005, credited to Jed Azinger and Gordie Lewis. The city continues to operate River Run as a public course adjacent to Pirate City.
Did You Know? The scorecard is balanced as two par-35 nines, and the city describes the course as a municipal facility beside the Pittsburgh Pirates' spring-training complex at Pirate City.
