Overview: The National at Reynolds Lake Oconee is a Tom Fazio course in Greensboro, Georgia, where rolling ground, woodland and Lake Oconee create a varied inland setting. The routing uses the peninsula landscape to produce changing views and a sequence of holes with different visual demands.
History: The National opened in 1997 as Tom Fazio's 18-hole design for Reynolds Lake Oconee. A later renovation refreshed the layout while preserving the central idea of moving through both sides of the peninsula and using the lake as a visual reference.
Did You Know? The original design process used aerial views to identify routes along both sides of the peninsula. That planning decision is why the course can offer markedly different lake views within one round.
