Overview: Reisen Golf Club uses its setting as a strategic idea. It sits around Mount Reisen in Kameoka, with a 6,735-yard par-72 route arranged in terrace-like stages that make the course feel more level than its hillside location suggests. A single bent green and the view toward the Tamba range complete the course's modern Kyoto character.
History: The original Reisen facility opened in 1998. The facility opened in April 1998 under an earlier name and became Reisen Golf Club in July 2008. Kokusai Kogyo is credited with the design. That name history matters because it explains why older directories and current booking pages can show different opening labels while still referring to the same active routing.
Did You Know? The course's holes are often described as terrace-like or stepped, but most of the playing surfaces remain comparatively level. That contrast is the small architectural trick that lets the course offer mountain scenery without making every shot a severe uphill or downhill exercise.
