Overview: Red Tail Golf Club is a public Brian Silva course in Devens, Massachusetts. It follows the hills and woods of the former Fort Devens, using native grasses, sand and remnants of the military landscape to create a distinctive New England setting.
History: Red Tail opened in the early 2000s and was named a best new course by Golf Magazine in 2002. Brian Silva shaped the course around the former army base while retaining visible traces of the site's earlier use.
Did You Know? Red Tail was the first Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Signature Course in New England, according to the design firm. The name comes from the red-tailed hawks that can be seen over the surrounding landscape.
