Red Sky Golf Club (Fazio Course)

Overview: The Fazio Course at Red Sky Golf Club is a mountain-resort course in Wolcott with sagebrush hills, aspen forest and views toward the Vail back bowls. Tom Fazio used the varied Vail Valley terrain to create a strategic layout where elevation, native vegetation and changing horizon lines are as important as the fairway corridors.

History: The Fazio Course opened as part of Red Sky's early-2000s development, alongside the resort's Norman Course. The project was designed to preserve the western landscape, and the club's current presentation still emphasizes indigenous planting and the visual connection to the surrounding mountains.

Did You Know? The current club page gives the course a 7,116-yard, par-72 scorecard. Red Sky relocated approximately 23,000 native plants during construction, an unusually specific example of how the property tried to retain its natural character.
