Overview: Real Club de Golf Guadalmina ~ Campo Norte is the northern 18-hole course at the long-established Guadalmina club near Marbella. Folco Nardi’s design is a relatively flat parkland layout, with wider fairways and a quieter inland feel than the resort courses higher in the hills. Trees, water and rough around the landing zones keep the course strategic even where the ground is easy to walk. The published North Course specification is par 72 and about 5,600 metres; the federation and club material varies by tee set, so the profile leaves a single converted yardage unasserted.
History: The North Course was added to Guadalmina’s original South Course in 1977, creating a two-course club with a shared history in the Costa del Sol. Nardi’s work complements Javier Arana’s older southern layout while giving members and visiting golfers a different scale and rhythm. The club remains a private facility, so access should be confirmed before a trip.
Did You Know? Guadalmina North is often the less dramatic-looking course of the pair, but that is part of its appeal. Its flatter ground and broad corridors shift the challenge toward approach placement, tree lines and the way a player manages the green complexes rather than toward constant elevation changes.
