Overview: Real Club de Golf El Prat's Amarillo (Yellow) Course is a magnificent part of the 45-hole championship complex situated just outside Barcelona, Spain. Designed by the legendary Greg Norman, the Amarillo course winds through a beautiful pine forest and open parkland landscape, featuring wide, rolling fairways, cleverly placed bunkers, and large, gently contoured greens that provide an enjoyable yet strategically deep test of golf.
History: The storied history of Real Club de Golf El Prat dates back to 1912, making it one of Spain's oldest and most prestigious clubs. Due to urban development and expansion, the club relocated twice, eventually settling in 2003 at its current location in Terrassa, where Norman designed five nine-hole loops. The Amarillo layout has played a crucial role in hosting premier events and providing members and visitors with world-class facilities.
Did You Know? In 2021, the club undertook a significant bunker sustainability project on the Yellow course, redesigning and reducing the sand area to improve course aesthetics, environmental footprint, and playability while retaining the course's integrity.
