Overview: Ravenwood Golf Club is a public Robin Nelson design in Victor, southeast of Rochester. The par-72 parkland course uses rolling ground, wetlands, lakes and shaped fairways, with five sets of tees allowing the same 18 holes to serve different levels of play.
History: Ravenwood opened in 2002 on land that had been used for corn and soybean farming. The design retained the site's natural rolling character and incorporated existing wetland systems into lakes and drainage corridors instead of treating them as obstacles to be removed.
Did You Know? Ravenwood built an unusually strong early tournament résumé for a public course, including the 2003 New York State Men's Amateur and later USGA qualifying events. Its public identity and competitive history developed together from the start.
