Overview: Ras Al Hamra Golf Club is a brilliant and ingenious desert-style course located within the Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) community in Muscat. Redesigned as a grass course by Graham Marsh and opened in 2014, the layout is famously compact, utilizing just 27 hectares to deliver a full 18-hole experience through the clever use of double greens and shared fairways. The course winds through a rugged, arid wadi and along coastal hillsides, offering a technical and scenic round that is widely celebrated for its innovative design and strategic complexity.
Did You Know? Ras Al Hamra is the only fully floodlit golf course in Oman, making it a critical social hub for the Muscat golfing community during the intense summer heat. Despite its small footprint, it is home to the Muscat Open—Oman's oldest golf tournament—and offers a world-class recreational experience that includes access to a private beach and boat club, blending Omani coastal culture with high-stakes championship golf.
