Overview: Rancho Charnvee Resort & Country Club offers a par-72 round across 18 holes near Pak Chong and the Khao Yai National Park area. Bob McFarland designed the layout, which opened in 2010 and is listed at 7,131 yards from the blue tees. The course combines broad fairways with raised and sharply sloping greens, water carries and well-placed bunkers. A resort, restaurant and surrounding mountain scenery give the property a stay-and-play identity, while the course itself remains a substantial test for golfers visiting the Khao Yai corridor from Bangkok.
History: Rancho Charnvee was developed as a contemporary resort course in the Khao Yai golf cluster, alongside Kirimaya, Toscana Valley and other destination layouts. The current course records consistently identify McFarland, 2010 and the par-72, 7,131-yard routing. Its design is relatively open compared with some of the area’s more enclosed mountain courses, but the elevated greens and water-loaded opening and closing holes give it a clear strategic personality.
Did You Know? The first hole starts with a substantial water carry and an uphill demand, while the 18th finishes in front of the clubhouse with another downhill approach shaped by bunkering. That bookended design gives Rancho Charnvee a strong narrative: the round begins by asking for commitment and ends by rewarding a well-positioned final tee shot.
