Overview: Located on the island of Rømø in Denmark, Rømø Golf & Wellness is a highly scenic 18-hole coastal links-style course. Built on a massive, open peninsula directly adjacent to the Wadden Sea National Park, the layout features wide, heavily contoured fairways, extensive deep-faced pot bunkers, and large, fast green complexes. The course is heavily exposed to severe coastal winds, requiring highly creative ground-game shots.
History: Opened in the mid-2000s, the course was built to establish a premier luxury resort destination on the historic island. The designers moved massive amounts of sand to create a pure, pristine layout that frequently hosts elite regional amateur events.
Did You Know? The course is built immediately adjacent to the massive, highly protected Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The completely flat, incredibly exposed coastal landscape provides an incredibly raw and isolated true links golfing experience.
