Overview: Located on the island of Ærø, Denmark, Ærø Golf Klub is a highly scenic 18-hole coastal links-style course. Built on a massive, open peninsula jutting into the Baltic Sea, the layout features wide, heavily contoured fairways, extensive deep-faced pot bunkers, and large, fast green complexes. The course is completely treeless and entirely exposed to severe coastal winds, requiring players to utilize creative ground-game shots.
History: Founded in the early 2000s, the course was built to bring high-quality competitive golf to the remote island. The layout was carefully integrated into the rugged coastal terrain, minimizing earth movement to preserve the historic agricultural landscape and the delicate seaside ecosystem.
Did You Know? The course is bordered on three sides by the deep blue waters of the Baltic Sea. From the furthest point on the course, players are standing just a few meters from the rocky shoreline, offering a truly raw and isolated coastal golfing experience.
