Overview: Quinta da Baroneza Golfe Clube is an 18-hole private parkland course set between Itatiba and Bragança Paulista in São Paulo state. Dan Blankenship’s routing moves through a large residential landscape with tree-lined and more open stretches, gently undulating ground and the quieter scale of a countryside estate. The par-72 course is long enough to reward a confident tee game, but its changing slopes and framed approaches place equal value on choosing the correct side of the fairway and reading the land around the greens.
History: The golf club dates from 2002 and became one of the early Brazilian residential developments to place a full golf course at the centre of its identity. By 2004 it was already hosting a national professional event, the second Quinta da Baroneza Open. The wider property protects large areas of Atlantic Forest, and its golf planning has consistently been presented as part of a broader landscape rather than an isolated sporting facility.
Did You Know? The course occupies more than 800,000 square metres within a residential estate that preserves extensive native vegetation. That scale gives Blankenship room to alternate between open parkland and more enclosed corridors, helping the course avoid the repetitive, uniform feel that can occur when a golf layout is squeezed into a smaller development footprint.
