Overview: Located in Charlotte, Quail Hollow Club is a championship private course originally designed by George Cobb. Winding through mature hardwood forests, the parkland layout features rolling fairways, strategic water hazards, and fast, contoured greens. The course is famous for its challenging finishing stretch, which tests the best players under tournament conditions.
History: Opened in 1961, the course was designed by George Cobb to create a premier private club in Charlotte. Over the years, the layout has been modified to meet the demands of modern championship play, with major renovations led by Arnold Palmer in 1986 and Tom Fazio in the 1990s and 2010s. The club has hosted the Wells Fargo Championship and the PGA Championship.
Did You Know? The final three holes of the course are nicknamed the Green Mile, a demanding stretch of two long par fours and a par three bordered by water that frequently decides tournament outcomes.
