Overview: Located in Ascochinga, Córdoba, Pueblo Estancia La Paz is a parkland course situated within a historic country estate. The routing is framed by century-old groves of trees, scenic lakes, and the winding course of the Ascochinga River. Golfers must navigate gentle elevation changes, strategically placed bunkers, and water hazards, requiring accurate tee shots and disciplined approach play to avoid the mature foliage.
History: Designed by Federico Bunge and built by Bunge Golf, the course opened in 2015 on land that once belonged to Argentine President Julio Argentino Roca. The surrounding parklands were originally designed in the late 19th century by the renowned landscape architect Carlos Thays, whose original tree varieties still line the fairways and frame the greens.
Did You Know? The estate's historic 19th-century palace, which once hosted key political meetings during Roca's presidency, has been preserved as a luxury hotel adjacent to the course, allowing players to walk through rooms filled with national history.
